An anal fissure is a tear along the anal canal. It can cause a considerable amount of pain when one has a bowel movement. Some causes of anal fissures include constipation and anal instrumentation.

An anal fissure can often mimic anal disease. You will need a physical examination by a performance to determine if you have anal tissue.
How is it treated?
